    Anyone using it? Comments?

Please, nae snarky dissing of MS Office. Not that I am a fan of MS but I do have my reasons for being interested in a free download. For what it's worth I use OpenOrifice as well.

Come to think of it, except for VB and DBL/DiBOL there is probably a valid use for almost any computer type thingy.

I'm running it on one of my boxen. It's functionally no different from 2007 as far as I can tell. Though it does install this annoying "M$ smiles and frowns" app to allow you to tell M$ just exactly what you do or don't like about the product.

You can uninstall that little app though.

    I still prefer Open Office.

I use it quite frequently but occasionally I need to work with a PUB, or PPT doc.

Sure, notice I said I prefer it ... I didn't mean to the exclusion of all of the other apps that let me do my job.

M$Office2010 is a decent suite, it looks, feels and behaves (as far as I can tell) identically to 2k7 ... YMMV

I've been using it for a while - loads amazingly fast and I'm very happy with it, especially for the price!!!

Uninstall the stupid "smilie" application and you're good to go.

So if I have two legit copies of Office2007 Professional, I probably shouldn't waste my time with Office2010?

It's currently in Technical Preview state so ... it's free (sorta) and it has some differences (like BUGS!), just none worth pointing to and saying "see, THAT'S what we've been waiting a decade for!"

If you can get your hands on it without being an MSDN subscriber then it's worth a try. Bear in mind though, the current TP copy timebombs in October.

Not a big deal for you if you already own licenses for retail products but, something for others reading this post to consider.
