I consider myself somewhat of a "beer snob," but I have to give PBR some props.

I know it's massed produced, I know it's not a craft beer, and I know it's associated with "hipster" culture. But it is a great, simple beer.

It's by far my favorite American adjunct lager and my favorite non-"craft" beer. Great for when I want a simple beer to drink while watching sports, or when I want a beer for washing down pizza, nachos or chicken wings.

And when I can buy a 30 pack for less than $20, it's hard to beat the price.

So how about you, what are your thoughts on PBR? Is PBR your go-to cheap beer?

I'll drink any of those on the poll except Corona and Heineken. My preference of the night is whichever is cheaper.

I don't think I am a beer snob, but I like beer with some taste. None in the poll really have any.

I have a friend who drinks PBR all the time. I saw a show about brewing on the History Channel and there was a time when it was one of the most popular beers in America.

When I was in Texas I bought some Lone Star and actually liked it. It went well with wings, pizza or mowing the lawn....

That was intentional. A sort of "the best of the bad beer" poll. Though I do sincerely enjoy PBR and buy it often, even though I recognize it's not a "great" beer.

my first, second, and last choice is always miller high life. it's cheap, sold everywhere they sell beer, and i like the sweet taste over the sour taste of most other beers.

don't get me wrong i'll drink just about any free beer if somebody is offering but i prefer mhl if i have a choice.

every now and then i get on a weird kick and drink lone star for awhile but that's mainly during camping/tubing season down on the river.

I've had Landshark a couple of times, didn't impress me for how expensive it is. Sam Adams is great, pretty good values, love the sampler packs throughout the different seasons. Dos Equis is another fav of mine. As far as cheap beers, Miller Lite and Coors Light are probably the two I drink the most, just depends which is on sale.

I like Sam Adams, especially the stronger versions that come in 4-packs.

But I love some Pabst. It's the best of the low cost beers. I also like Bud Light Lime and Michelob. Michelob is great if you're sensitive to hangovers.

I'll take Pabst over any type of Miller-Coors or Anheiser-Busch product. Only the high-dollar beers trump it.

I drink Hieniken first and foremost, on tap or in the cans. But the poll cales it 'cheap beer' which is sadly not the case. And they make GREAT targets!

...as there always seems to be a few emptys in the truck-bed

if it wasn't for the dead brain cells this would probably bring back memories. I now drink an occasional pbr and it's not bad.
