My sweet, 20yo girl. I lost her 3 years back to old age. Her kidneys shut down.

My beautiful muffin Lucy. I put her to sleep on New Years Eve, and I miss her terribly. She gave me over 7 years of love, and it was totally worth it. I'm still heartbroken over her loss. :crying:

Part of me feels wrong 'liking' posts about those who have passed, but I want to acknowledge the memories and photos. My deepest condolences to all who have lost feline friends; I know how much it hurts. The good thing is that they survive in our thoughts.

Here is one from a few days ago - Piglet and Pixel sitting on my chest, with Pixel's brother Gilmore in the background standing on my legs. You can tell cooler weather is coming - they're getting more snuggly.

I love my tortie sisters. The are both skittish like you wouldn't believe, neither one like being held. When the lights go out at night they are the first ones snuggled up beside your head, with the purr machines going full force.

This is Chuck. Found him wandering the neighborhood. No one could catch him and one day he walked up our driveway. I saw him through the window and called my wife. She walked outside and Chuck let her pick him up. Off to the vet, he was not chipped, put posters out at the vet's office and around the neighborhood. No response, so he he stays:

That's so funny, kitty loves licking the faucets, but does not like running water. My SIL gave me one of those and it scared kitty to death, had to re-gift it.

Just when you think you have 'em figured out, they remind you.

We've got around nine barn cats and one outside cat at home. We have been feeding an additional drop-in. He looks like a veteran of many an ally fight. I've stepped in cat crap two days in a row in the back yard.

I've never met a cat that doesn't dig a hole to crap or pee in.

Two more cats that I miss...
This is Roland! He was the neighbor's cat but we kind of stole him and he became my office buddy. We tried so hard to make him and indoor cat only and he stayed in a lot but he still had to go out and rule his land. He died way too early of cancer.

Another favorite of mine... Maddie.
She was was dropped off at the local shelter at 16 years old with bad arthritis in her front feet and in kidney failure.
We only had her for 7 short weeks before her kidneys failed but we got her feet feeling better and she could walk normally after a few weeks. I really got attached to this old lady in the short time we had her. Chokes me up to even type this...

She loved me. Whenever I would come in the house she would come waddling down the hall saying, "rant, rant rant..."
