From where in the Constitution is this authority derived? And I'm not just referring to the powers of the Executive Branch, but the Federal Government in general?

With all of the special caucuses, in Congress, it baffles me as to why there has not been a western states caucus organized to protect us and our interests against the east-coast pukes.

The western states provide the bulk of energy and natural resources for the nation and we have the majority of public lands under fedpuke control.

    What's the problem?

I don't see the issue with preserving some beautiful land so that the future generations can get to enjoy it before it turns into another city and suburb or industrial wasteland.

Nothing wrong with your statement. But where does the Federal Government get authority to own land in the states?
