Just went to the freakin' gunshow kanina. Footah ang trafik, halos
karamihan ng nakita kong tao sa gunshow puro taga TANUAN BATANGAS
yata, TANAW lang ng TANAW alaws bitbit. Nakakabara tuloy sila sa
mga taong bibili. Anyway going back to the STI ARMSCOR SPARTAN.

    Yung saleslady maganda! hehehe

teka maganda sya pero shes talking too much BULLSHEEP about the
sti spartan (ayoko na ulitin, punta na lang kayo sa gansho).

Guys FYI lang po ehem, ang STI spartan po ay BASIC ARMSCOR GUN lamang
yung nilagay nilang STI parts, well for me a pangit, mas may maganda
pang shapes for hammer and trigger ang shooters...mura pa.

Again, looking at this gun hindi mo malalaman na may STI parts ito
kasi ordinary lang ang looks. I would rather get a basic Armscor
gun and buy Wilson combat parts or Ed brown, mas noticealble pa ito
kaysa STI Friggin parts. Kung sino man nakabili nitong STI Armscor
Spartan baka pwede nyo i-post yung pics at review para malaman natin
    difference? hehehehe

For me the STI ARMSCOR ay isang malaking kalokohan.
35K for an Armscor? dang! i'd buy a regular armscor na lang, mura pa
at ganun din, papalagyan ko na lang nang imported na tatak yung
    slide hehehe.
Hehehe sorry ha ito na may pananaw ko lang, pagkatuwaan nyo na lang.

    Ayos!

    Pareng Mel,

Agree ako sa iyo...my dad bought a high cap armscor and fixed it up pretty well, hindi naman umabot ng 35k yung base unit. He calls it his "Parang Ordnance" :animlol:

To each his own siguro, some people like it because hindi na sila maghahanap ng parts...but isn't that part of the fun of building your 1911? Sabi niyo nga ni Bien, a 1911 is a reflection of the owner's personality, and no two 1911's are alike (unless factory stock)

On the other hand, nakakatuwa din naman na merong STI/Armscor tie-up. Hopefully it performs well!

    Melbu,
I agree with you wholeheartedly. Ok lang collaboration ng mga Americans at Pinoys regarding the Spartan pero sila na lang bumili nyan at that price.

I remember Nike years ago. Some models were manufactured here then they get the labels coming from the US. After the labels were stitched, the price will go from P 1,000 to P 3,000. I used to go to Mondragon house when they have their sale and I buy those export overruns.

Don't like the parkerizing of the Spartan either. Magaling pa gumawa P.B. Dionisio. Pero type ko booth ni Lantin. Galing nya mag-markdown ng price. Realistic.

From the looks of it, the gun is okay. If you don't want to wait for a build, this is the gun for you. BTW, Melbu, is the barrel also STI?

What I don't like in the gun is how Armscor mounted the rear sight. Parang mataas, and not sunk like other gunsmiths mount it. I think that's the easiest way to mount the rear sight without the intricate machining when you want a "sunken" adjustable rear sight.

i dont know if it's just me, but if something is made in the philippines and it's made well, i tend to like it.

if my money goes back to good old 'pinas, i really believe it's money well spent.

but maybe that's just me. :)

Agree with you on this one sir Heavy, I'm all for spending money here and helping the keep the economy afloat. Hopefully the Spartan lives up to the hype, otherwise, I'd take the cheaper route and buy a stock one and customize to my heart's content

It's more of a range/competition gun ano? Or do you think it's ok for carry? Looks like the sights will be prone to snagging...

BikeThief, may binebentang Kimber yung isang friend natin...naka nightsights na...super ganda...hehehehe

    it's seems like a well-made gun.

the sti owners themselves are impressed enough that they would without hesitation put their name and reputation on the line for it. remember that we are not the primary market for the spartan. sa tate talaga ibebenta yan, nakasingit lang tayo ng kaunti dahil gustong ipagmalaki ng armscor dito sa atin ang nagawa nila.

armscor, a filipino company, is extremely proud of what they've done, that they've reached the standards of sti, a company that we, and the world have such high regards for, i think that should be something we as pinoys should be very happy and very proud of.

i really hope it's not just me, but i like the spartan.

the gun and what it represents. :)
