    I haven't seen this posted.

    Was the officer justified?
I say yes. I am shooting any dog that charges me if I can.
I am worth more than any dog. Period

Out in a grass field, with the owner of the dog not laying almost in the line of fire, innocents in the ricochet zone, maybe.

    In that environment, terrible decision.

Absolutely! Dog charged him and the officer responded the best way he could with a split second decision. Down in one shot too. Impressive. Ive seen a dog run 100 yards after a hit with a .357

Clean shoot and lucky no one was hit by a richocet. Poor dog though. I have a dog. When guests enter the house, my dog barks and rushes them. Then he proceeds to sniff them to death. Most people are frightened to death seeing a large, black lab rushing at them though.

Good shoot. Dog was aggressive and a menace. Could have hurt the cop or other people--badly! Sorry to see an animal die. Good shooting on a tough moving target though.

110% justified in my opinion. Although I can understand people who live in a dream world being upset about it.

Justified, but sad. I love all dogs, he was just trying to protect his owner, but sadly that's what happens.

Unleashed dog charges officer. Officer shoots dog. Well warranted and a good shot by the officer I might add.

People need to understand that dogs off leash and on public property will be dealt with swiftly if they are aggressive.

Outstanding shoot. Split second, one handed and dead bang on the money.

    Screw the dog.

sorry, too many people around and he was shooting pretty much right at the dude on the ground. take the bite wuss, it's just a freakin dog.

and to clarify: take the bite for the safety of others, not for the dogs sake. in a different situation/location I would have ZERO problem with it.

At least he didn't lock it in a hot car and then have others make excuses for him.

What is wrong with you guys? It's a dog, at most just kick it. Police are so afraid nowadays. I do not understand what kind of/or lack of training is going on nowadays. The cop that shot first wasn't even being charged by the dog!

After slow-mo it looks like I was wrong who shot the dog. But, why so quick to shoot it? It weighs what 30lbs.? I do not understand why some LEO's are so quick to use lethal force. The dog didn't have a gun. The don't wasn't leaping at his throat. Man Up.

The police where there because the dog's owner was having a seizure in the street and they were trying to give him medical aid.

All of the info is there in the article right below the video.
