I'm sure NBC will announce a correction.
You sure do find lots of news stories!
Well written letter, hopefully it will get lots of publicity.
Is there ANY evidence that a .50 machine gun purchased in the US has EVER been used in a crime in Mexico? Any sold in the US, outside of LE or military, would have to be manufactured before 1986 (IIRC), the most common of which would probably be the Browning M2 which is in the price range of $30K and up.
Exaclty. Truth in reporting when out the window a very long time ago.
I can't believe an NBC reporter would make a factual error when reporting the news, especially on American firearms laws. After all, they've had so much experience reporting on the evils of guns in America that by now they know federal gun law by heart.
That's part of the problem. The general public, who otherwise don't know any better, never sees the responses and corrections to these baseless news stories. So they just keep believing the tripe they see on the nightly news.
I'll have to get me one. No paperz?
Since when has the Lame Stream Media let "truthfulness" get in the way of their "reporting"??? I mean, they can't push their anti-gun agenda if they report the truth to the "unwashed masses" to quote Katie Curic.....
I think a lot of people get confused when they hear the Browning Machine Gun part, not realizing it's just the name of the cartridge.
