Okay...I just had my yearly membership renewal check cashed by the NRA. I was wondering if anybody know what neat little trinket they are sending out this year?

I know a lot do not like the cheap little items they send out, but I get all warm and funny inside when I get something in the mail. I kind of feel like Ralphie waiting on his Little Orphan Annie decoder pin!

If that is what they are sending for renewals as well, I am going to be super psyched! I ALWAYS have a Leatherman on me in addition to a knife. I use mine all the time.

    Thanks for letting me know!

I don't think anyone is getting a real leatherman for less than a Life membership.

That is awesome. I would be happy with another blade.

BTW, around what part of PA??? You can PM me if you prefer. I only ask because I am always looking for new shooting partners.

They sent me a fairly nice cap for my renewal, I think they called it a "Liquid Metal" cap.

Year before they sent me a knife that looked like a Kershaw but as another poster said it was made in China. I put it in the top of my safe havent carried it and probably never will. I think its still pretty neat though.

I have several coffee tumblers, key chains, and the like it changes every year.

I've almost payed off my life membership now and haven't gotten squat! I got a few regular type window decals with my first payment several years ago, but that's all I've recieved except for the quartely bills. Oh and the occasional video with a bill enclosed.

So am I and that's all I get too. I'd been a Life Member for a while, and just became an Endowment Member a few months ago. For the "discounted" Endowment payment of $300, they sent me a pretty nice Minuteman statue.

A real actual American made Leatherman, or a chinese made knock off?
The last time I renewed mine, they sent me some chinese pocket knife.

I would be pretty damn pissed if they are spending membership dues on expensive trinkets. I wish they wouldn't even spend it on the cheap junk.

That is kind of what I was thinking too as far as the Leatherman. I used to think all multi-tools were created equal, until I picked up a Wave. Since then, that one has been re-assigned to my B.O.B. and I carry a Skeletool now clipped inside on my right front jeans pocket. It has everything I used on the wave, and nothing I don't need. I LOVE Leatherman tools!

According to the link below, you can renew/upgrade for a NRA multi-tool.
    https://membership.nrahq.org/forms/renew.asp?CampaignID=XR015670

Also, at that link, a 1-year membership is only $25.
A lot of people want to knock others for taking discounted memberships like this, but it's important to remember the NRA's referral program would give $10 of your $35 annual membership dues to whoever referred you anyway. Either way, the NRA is getting the same amount of money in the end - getting the discount up front just leaves you that much more to give to the PVF, ILA, or another pro-2A group like the GOA, SAF, or JPFO.

Ask to be removed from the mailing list if it bothers you that much.

It doesn't bother me, it makes me feel loved. I pin/pen or something every now and then might be a nice little :wavey: .
