Now I am sure alot of folks have already seen this gun but I somehow missed this picture from the Nighthawk website even though I have looked at this gun at least 1/2 dozen times myself.

It is just cool to me to see "Danger exhaust ports" on a 1911
Somehow make it's seem like a hot rod 1911 :)

Anybody know the MSPR on this gun?

I know some folks do not like all the guns Nighthawk is making but they deserve some 1911 love for all the different ways they are willing to go with the platform. Doublestack mags, threaded barrels, comps etc they seem to be offering something the other 1911 shops are not.

I'm not a big fan of warnings etched, engraved, or otherwise embellishing the clean lines of firearms. Clutter.
That stuff belongs in the manual.

Yeah, I think I remember seeing that on a model I looked at once.

It rings a bell anyway. :dunno:

I agree overall but I could see the legal logic in placing it on that particular barrel since a number of used guns are sold and bought sans the manual.

It's not obtrusive to me say like the huge freaking Taurus rollmarks or the S&W older rollmarks :)

I will have the Wilson CQB paid off by September when it arrives from Wilson so I looking for my next 1911 to order. Nighthawk is neck and neck with Wilson CQB Compact or Professional and of the Nighthawks the T3 is neck and neck with the Predator III. Not sure if I want this or the standard model T3.

    Hmmm....

STI should do this on all their guns.

    DANGER!

Anyone who shoots and doesn't realize that hot, high pressure gases are involved shouldn't be. Etching it on the gun is annoying. It stands as a reminder of the dumbing down of our society.

This is what I was thinking too. Unfortunately the people who would fire it not realizing why the ports are there probably won't understand the warning anyway...

I would agree that is why I said it made legal sense not common sense

It would not keep me from buying that gun for a second though, it has zero effect on function so no big deal to me.

Agreed, I wouldn't base a purchase on some words written on the barrel hood. It just annoys me. Like S&W's damn lock. I am still going to buy their guns, just with a little sadness to go along with my joy.
