I had been carrying and shooting my 21SF so long and so much I neglected my 17. The more I've been reading about 9mm coming ( back) though it was never gone made me think. The past 2 days I put a few hundred 9mm down range. I guess I got use to the 45 recoil and now Im going back to the 9mm. From slow fire to dumping33 round mags I was so accurate I feel the 17 is the way for ME to go now. Especially since joining here and the tips Ive gotten. Thank you all. I'm ordering a 357 Sig conversion for the 21 and maybe 10mm too. But shot placement I'm getting with my 17 is amazing now. Plus it gave me a excuse to shoot my old carry ammo and replace it . I still love my big bore but just can't deny the improved accuracy it allowed me with the 9. Just wanted to thank you all

Some will now call you underarmed, or unprotected, or underprotected. They will argue that you might as well use it as a club. Don't listen. Carry on.

I know. My bug is now my 21SF in small of my back. My 17 is on my right hip. I'm good with the 21. Very good. But after a year of mostly shooting that 45 I now can unload 33 rounds of 9mm in a tight group VERY QUICKLY from 25 yards. Staying on target is so much easier now. Or firing at multiple targets as well. This year I'm starting the official Glock comps around Atlanta. I don't care if they call me undergunned. It's difficult to speak with multiple 9 mm rounds in the head lol. Head and throat shots are much easier plus the ease of carrying 100 rounds if you want. I used to feel undergunned with a 17 but then I got educated

Yes and I carry at least 2 usually5 extra mags. Some for my. EDC and a couple for my bug. Plus a few 33 round mags in the repo truck for good measure. They may get me ANYDAY but it won't be because I ran out of ammo lol.

I wish I could carry my Glock 17 easier. I appendix carry a Glock 19 and a P320c with no problem. But the additional barrel length of the G17 is a problem for me with appendix carry. It's a shame because the G17 is so easy to shoot.

How do you like your P320?

I love my P320. It took a little while but it has replaced the Glock 19 as my EDC. It may be a little harder to conceal, but not by much. The trigger and accuracy are great. I had trouble with Winchester white box ammo with failures to extract. So I only used American Eagle, Lawman, or Perfecta for practice. Those 3 ran perfectly, but there was something about Winchester that was a problem. So I called Sig support and they sent me an improved extractor spring pin. After that the gun has shot Winchester and everything else with no issues. So my confidence in the P320 is pretty high.

Yeah I went from my 21sf to a S&W MP 9mm and not looking back. I also noticed 9mm being almost 3-4oz lighter over 45acp and shooting much faster and having more rounds. If it wasn't for the advanced defense ammo going on then I wouldn't had changed.

You would be more pleased with your accuracy at speed. I can shoot a full 10mm as accurately as a 9mm, just not as fast. For defensive carry, accuracy at speed is the benchmark with 9mm as the min power floor.

Exactly. My accuracy with the 21 is not lacking but I can't maintain it with very fast follow up shots compared with the17

If your in the repo business you might actually be under gunned.
Yes Im at THEIR house so they have their full arsenel. Which with a 9 and 45 on my person with at least 100 rounds I hope to be at least able to send enough rounds to hop in the truck and retreat. I can hook the car without getting out BUT first I have to check the V.I.N #. That's where youre most vulnerable.
