I'm jealous! How much did Old Betsy set ya back? Do you have anything in mind for optics, or do you plan to leave it as is?

I bought it new, as a complete rifle, so it wasn't cheap. I did purchase from Rainier, rather than direct from Noveske, saved me $40, plus shipping was only $7.95. Every little bit helps...but I did get good cash and 5 pmags selling my old ARs.

I plan to put a Magpul UBR stock on it.(the Vltor will go on the free upper). I will save for an ACOG most likely.

After my trip next month I'm sending in my SBR paperwork, and I've decided on a 10.5" Noveske Low-Pro. Tasty, tasty stuff.

Not to bust in, but for $1400 + Free N4 lower + $150 Palmetto kit I was able to slap this together:

It's not as bad when you consider it comes w/ the Vortex and the Troy BUIS already... and quality is unmatched. Lots of dudes are cheerleading hard for BCM these days, and they are nice too, but there is always a manufacturer of the season, or plastic buttstock of the minute... NOVESKE has been on tops IMO for a while, and I'm pumped that I finally got one!

Was your free lower the C or E series?

It's an E Series- Kaiser Defense.

FYI- My window Pmags are still a tight fit, and don't go in my Superior at all, so I'm wondering if maybe they're just a fat version... I already trashed one w/ a dremel.

They're pretty good for power steering on top of though!

Roll marks are totally different, less defined, shallow. magwell is less flared, Pmag barely fits. just got yesterday and Im not using it. I bought a 6.8 upper from them 1 month ago and the blem lower was an E series, couldnt find a fault in it and it matches my other Noveskes perfectly. I guess Im a Noveske snob or just too damn picky

Sounds like you're too picky! :)

My E-series actually doesn't match the VLTOR MUR very well- the MUR is blacker.

You shouldn't have a problem selling it off- if you don't attach too much value to the Noveske stamp.

I pretty much gave up on Pmags... they were still pretty new my last tour so I never used them outside the gate. Mine were the very first windows available and they are tight in everything. I wasn't too upset about dremeling the one to hell b/c the lips got chewed by a SAW.

For pimpness, I actually like the Lancers. For legit use though, make mine a fresh, undented, USGI.

My 1st N4 had a color mismatch upper to lower, anodizing is tough to match. especially when Vltor is building the upper receiver and Armalite or whoever vendor is building the lower,,, and yeah, Im a picky MOFO!

Their website says OUT OF STOCK for many rifles... What's the deal on getting one of those?
