I have a notary stamp and Im trying to use it on a personal contract between me and a friend. I was just wondering what I have to write inside of stamp, or do I just stamp it.

I doubt you can notarize your own contracts.

I didn't think you could notarize your own stuff.

Go to wherever you bank and they'll notarize it for you.

You are prohibited from notarizing your own documents. If you are a notary, you should know this.

You say you have a notary stamp but you didn't indicate that you are actually a notary???

I also don't think you can notarize your own signature or that of another party to a contract where you are a party. It also doesn't sound like you are actually a notary, they way you ask the question. Why on earth does a contract need a notary stamp?

If you have a financial interest in the transaction you cannot use your notary. You should have a booklet that explains all that stuff, if you don't, get one, you do not want to mess up.

Yea I just said I had a notary stamp. We are trying to back date the sale of his car to me because it happened last year and we never did anything with it until this year.

Let me see if I understand this correctly. You are trying to commit perjury so that you can falsify a government document regarding the sale of a vehicle.

Let me help. Can I just buy all your firearms now? I'll give you a real good price, since you won't be able to own them for long...

    Just trying to help.

So you had a safe with 200k in cash in it? And the IRS knows this? Oh and it is illegal to use a Notary stamp without actually having an appointment from the state of Ohio.

Let me guess, you didn't do the paperwork, so he is stuck with the taxes for this year and can't register his own car and now, instead of paying the taxes and getting on with life, you want to commit various types of crimes to try to put the taxes in your name? Probably wouldn't work anyhow, since I suspect the tax is the responsibility of the REGISTERED owner, not just the owner.

    Did I guess right?

No, you were a little off Bren, but close. In the state of Ohio when get these random letters demanding proof of insurance on a certain date. He got his letter the beginning of the month and Ive been driving the car since November and paid him in full in December.

He no longer carried insurance on the vehicle and my insurance card for the vehicle doesnt mean anything. It isnt his insurance card.

So basically we are trying to save him from having the hassle of a SR-22 for the next 3 or 5 years Im not sure what it is..for a car he didnt even have a key for.

I guess its really his mess Im just trying to help a friend out. No negative impact on me from his lackluster attitude towards paperwork.
