I was in a sporting goods store the other day, picking up a couple of swing swivels, when a guy started talking to the clerk about how he'd been in SEAL Team 8. I immediately thought "this guy is probably full of B.S." - just based on the fact that most people who do that sort of thing (talk about how they were special ops) are, in my experience, full of it. He then stated that his sidearm had been a Desert Eagle. Now, I don't know a lot about Special Forces - I did my time in the service taking panels off of KC-10s and putting them back on - but a DE seems particularly unsuitable for use as a combat sidearm. Is it at all plausible that a SEAL would be using a DE as a sidearm? My gut tells me that a SEAL would pick something else.
