Here in southwestern Pa, our early archery started on 21 Sept. I started putting game cams out maybe 6 weeks before the start. I gathered up a card and saw what looked to be a nontypical buck. 2019-08-02_08-31-01 by poofy27, on Flickr Oh boy did that pique my interest. I started checking the cams ( I put out 3 more) and saw him a few more times. Here's a shot from above a salt block. 2019-11-05_05-15-37 by poofy27, on Flickr 30 days before the season starts, all mineral blocks etc need to leave. I eventually see him a couple weeks before the season starts. 2019-11-05_05-16-05 by poofy27, on Flickr The first day I climb up into my backyard stand 20 feet up, he comes strolling in. I pick up a camera, see its him and pick up the 10point wicked ridge FX4. The bolt topped with a 100 grain Spitfire 100 does a pass through from 15 yards almost broadside. 2019-11-05_05-16-25 by poofy27, on Flickr Drag was about 90 yards. I do not generally get deer mounted but because this one was so unique, he's going on the wall. I heard of a 3 main beam buck being shot (IIRC Michigan) and it was stated that its about 1 in a million chance to grow like that. This was the first nontypical I've ever seen. Ended up being a 14 point and made my day.
