Here in southwestern Pa, our early archery started on 21 Sept.
I started putting game cams out maybe 6 weeks before the start.
I gathered up a card and saw what looked to be a nontypical buck.

Oh boy did that pique my interest. I started checking the cams ( I put out 3 more) and saw him a few more times.
Here's a shot from above a salt block.

30 days before the season starts, all mineral blocks etc need to leave. I eventually see him a couple weeks before the season starts.

The first day I climb up into my backyard stand 20 feet up, he comes strolling in.
I pick up a camera, see its him and pick up the 10point wicked ridge FX4.
The bolt topped with a 100 grain Spitfire 100 does a pass through from 15 yards almost broadside.

    Drag was about 90 yards.
I do not generally get deer mounted but because this one was so unique, he's going on the wall. I heard of a 3 main beam buck being shot (IIRC Michigan) and it was stated that its about 1 in a million chance to grow like that.
This was the first nontypical I've ever seen.
Ended up being a 14 point and made my day.

Those make for the best stories. You may forget or just let go of some really nice typical buck memories, this one will live as long as you.

    Thank you all.
The turn around time in this area is about a year. Well, the guy said I'd have him back in a year.
    Just a bit over $600.
Another guy at my gun club suggested I get the lower jaw saved to age the Buck.
I would have guessed 2 1/2 years just due to the smaller body size and size of the rack.
2 people said he was probably 3 1/2 based on tooth wear.
This was the other guy I would have wanted,

The area I live in is residential but has 14 acres of woods next to my small property.
I shot this guy 75 feet from my attached garage.

Definitely a younger buck. From the pics I'd put him at 2 also.
