I heavily redacted the original article for ease of reading. To see that I'm not hiding anything, go to the Washington Post website for the entire article. And sorry Russ, no shooting involved.

not nearly enough info. sure, he probably shouldnt have drawn on Marshals, but it doesnt even say if they were in uniform or plainclothes. not does it say WHY he drew on them.

basically, a worthless article designed to cast a negative light on CCWers.

I don't know anything about VA, but it did seem the article was kind of over-the-top. OK, that explains it. But the facts are accurate, no?

As for posting a link, believe it or not, that's beyond me. :embarassed:

That's it. It's on for sure. In the parking lot, after work tomorrow. Fist, brick, bottle, chains or knife. Your choice. But no keyboards, hard drives or mother boards. Bastard.

Your edit trampled over this critical part of the story:

Odio said Avila pointed only a cellphone at the men, did not see any badges and did not know they were marshals. "He absolutely denies pointing a gun at them," Odio said. He said Avila was speaking on the phone with his son at the time.

He pulled a gun when his life wasn't in danger. He's proven that he has no business carrying a gun.

Because if he pointed his phone at someone it's not nearly as big a deal.

Pointing a firearm at someone when not in a life threatening event (which this was not, he was just angry at the two Cops) is a major deal.
