You should look into Samsung phones too. I use a B7320 wifi capable at a price of below 12k it has a newer brother the 7330 priced at 14k. it is also qwerty

i like the ericsson since im a user of their phones, matibay at tagal ng battery. Is it the same as the ones above?

As for samsung, I think battery life is mabilis.

The old small thin samsung phones had a terrible battery life the newer ones are ok.

Nokia E72, it's more of a business phone with adequate multimedia capabilities, nice camera nice features. Wifi, HSDPA and 3.5G connections available. If you are going to be using a lot of e-mailing with a data plan, go for the Blackberry.

I am using a Blackberry 9700 and my backup phone is the E72's predecessor - E71, pretty happy with both phones. The QWERTY layout has helped discipline myself not to SMS while driving - since it would be very difficult to do - hehehe.

My fiancee uses the E72, ok naman, the Qwerty pad takes some getting used to but it has decent features, and battery life. Affordable too.

The Xperia...my brother bought one, and still uses it, but was disappointed. It's heavy, and the keypad cracked within 2 months of use. It was very expensive (42k I think in HK when he bought it) and looked like it would be a durable phone, but he was mistaken. He's going to replace it with an HTC or a Motorola Android phone.

i think you cant go wrong with any of the choices

been using the SE X1 for almost a year now...great phone...prior to that, the (pre E72) E71 no complaints as well...(no experience with Blackberry though)

voice quality is great on both units, and email (and wifi) works like a charm...

just liked the X1 better due to some physical attributes...so far the windows thing haven't gone crazy on me...

but definitely if coming fro a non qwerty unit, texting might take a bit of getting used to...well at least it does keep you from texting while driving :embarassed:
