Ok guys, I posted a thread about 2 weeks ago called Layaway Program Good or Evil because I couldn't determine if it was good that it allowed me to lock in a purchase of a new firearm or if it was evil because I was soo anxious after that to finally get my first gun home. I originally put the gun on layaway Jan 2nd and picked it up today Feb 2nd. I somehow managed to leave the gun at the store for a full monh but couldn't take it anymore as you all know how that works.
I am happy to report that my NIB Glock 19 is home safely and awaiting some range time hopefully soon.
Just wanted to say thanks again to everyone for the helpful info and getting me through the last month( seemed like atleast 3) with all the stories and ideas.

    Thanks,
    Eric

Its a good thing my favorite shop doesn't offer lawaway. A very good thing. I'd be in big trouble!

    Congrats!

I can totally relate! I put a G19 on layaway a couple weeks ago and I'm already trying to decide if I should go on in and get it out. It's a bit pricey but I think I can swing it all at once.

I have a Ruger P95 with Kydex holsters to shoot IDPA and my concealed carry license won't be here until sometime in March so I'm trying to decide if I should go ahead and get the Glock out, or pay a little more (so it's not such a big monetary bite) and use the Ruger for IDPA for a month or so.

It is a tough decision because I'm wanting the Glock out BAD!

By the way, new to this forum (post #1) so hello all, and I look forward to learning a lot from you.

    Steven.
