Are you bathing it in salt water? Also the black color on the slide is cosmetic finish only and has nothing to do with the corrosion resistance...

My ‘12 Gen 4 has surface rust coming through the unworn finish. Maybe a Friday on the brand new USA nitriding line?

I would contact Glock in that. It really should not be happening (obviously).

Unless a large part is fractured/unsafe, I have only ever heard of them replacing small parts.

Very best case they’d put a new topcoat on it, which would be quicker, easier, and better purchased somewhere else.

Just sent in a GSSF Free Pistol certificate for a Gen 3. If they really are being phased out of the 49 regular states, I predict future GSSF prizes will include Gen 4s without an upgrade fee.
