My understanding is that CBOBs will be produced for the CA market. Even so, you should still be able to get one.

Sig's P226STs are only produced for the CA market and they are available for sale in any state that does not prevent their sale.

I'd say 3rdGen40's post was right on track. The "aw jkeez, not this crap again"
poster could have responded more tactfully or simply kept his comments to himself.

Kinda funny how a lot of people would rather post some smart azz comment,
rather than post some information that would actually help the OP out.

This is correct. The CBOB meets all the Draconian California requirements and will be shipped to FFLs registered in California only. Not really understanding why DW chose to do this ,but they are. You should still be able to get one online through a California dealer. They won't show in the DW catalog or website but they are being built and sold. Still some 09s out there also. Check the locator sticky thread in the DW forum at 1911Forum.com.

which "seems" like DW doesn't want to go through the BS to get the newer guns CA Approved.

Sounds like Dan Wesson is going to loose a crap load of business.
Are they being run by the same idiots in charge of GM and Chrysler?! :dunno:

And I don't blame firearms manufacturers like Barrett who essentially tell California to "F-off."

(BTW, both of my children live in the Left State).

do you mean through the limited sales to Cali, by moving up the price scale or both?

Seriously, I think Keith Lawton is a pretty saavy dude. He listens to his customers; something that the jerks in Exeter don't/won't do.

I think both,....... they are esentially killing their best selling model, the CBOB.
People in states other than Clai will get them, just have to go through a Cali dealer.
The price hike will drive some business away as well, I was looking at a Valor.
Not with the price hike, I may look elsewhere. However, many other manufacturers
are raising prices due to costs/inflation and other factors.

I can understand why DW would not want to deal with the Cali BS and getting
    more models Cali appproved.
