I posted about drinking and dipping over my vacation.

I've been Kodiak-free for over 3 months and figured I'd have one "lash hoorah" during my vaction.

    I didn't.

Looks like I'll make it to 4 months.

Thought you were going to say you'd gone to Alaska and didn't see a bear.

Oh well, I usually miss the point. :whistling:

Kudos to you, from another on-again, off-again tobacco user.

Good job, keep up the good work.
I quit smoking 10 years ago and tonight at work I thought "Damn, I'd like a smoke" I got over it quick. I also used to smoke cigars, dip and chew a little, no more of any thing. I know as soon as I try one of my lesser vices, I'll be smokin again. NO THANKS.
My wife is now trying to quit, man am I happy. I'd rather see someone try and fail a thousand times and keep trying rather than to just keep smoking.
Good luck with your efforts and may God bless you.
    Tom

been chewing since 9th grade. Im a sophomore in college now... (skoal classic if you're curious) I wish so bad that I could quit, but it seems like i've fallen into these day to day habits that aren't complete without a dip. Its completely mindless now I dont even realize that I do it anymore...

Always good to kick an addiction!

I used to be a dedicated tobacco pipe smoker, but managed to kick.

Good for you! I'm glad to hear that! Just keep hanging in there and don't give it to the urge to go back. I know it can be tough but if you made it this long, you can do it for good! We're all behind you! :wavey:

Great job! I've also been "Kodiak-free" for the last three months......because they've been outta the stuff at the PX (Europe sucks if you're a dipper). I've had to resort to Grizzly....ugh!

Seriously, though, wish I could quit again. I was two years without, then started back up. Keep it up!

After about 12 years I have been tobacco free for 20 weeks and two days and counting. Nope.....I don't think about it one little bit. After all that time my desire to not chew was much greater than the will to chew. Since then I have started running, lost about 15 pounds, and have an extra $100 in my pocket every month.

Good job, dude. Keep it up.

If you really want to, no it's not.

I smoked for over 9 years, the last 3 I was up to 2 packs a day. Also smoked an occasional pipe or cigar.

I quit cold turkey, been 9 months and no lapses. Just like USMCsilver, if you really want it -you will do it.

When taxes raised to where cigarettes cost over a dollar a pack I said to hell with it. Stopped cold turkey without trying any helpful crutches. Been free ever since. Quit drinking the same way. It is all mindset.

The sooner the better, friend. I know what you mean. When I dipped, EVERYTHING involved a dip.

    Sit in class: dip
    Study: dip
    Drive: dip
    Movie: dip
    Shower: dip
    After-meal: dip
    Hunting: dip
    Hike: dip
    Mountainbike: dip
    Running: dip

You get the idea. Here's how I quit....I didn't pick a date. Dates come and go. One day, I decided that THIS would be my LAST day. I asked God for the strength, and made that my last day.
