I want the Nikon D5000 but am looking for a place that offers lay away and this product ,,preferred with the Lens package .

I don't want anything that requires opening a credit card with no payments for 12 months or any of that non sense,,just straight up layaway.

Anybody know who still offers it?

The only store that might carry it that does layaway (don't know if at every location) is Best Buy.

Curious, what is the advantage of layaway? I mean the camera is not going to get more expensive as time goes by?

Its easier just paying for it here and there over a couple months til its paid for..opening up credit with these stores I don't like doing and don't use my credit cards except for emergencies,,putting the money aside won't happen,,lol
Layaway just seems like a good option for this camera purchase

I operate on a cash only basis. Save, Save, Save....then buy.
