Hi there 17er's!

My G17 is outfitted with Meprolight night sights/green TRU DOTs.I used to utilize a GTL(Glock Tactical Light) until it was damaged due to a drop.It has since been replaced with a Streamlight M3 with a green LED.

These are welcomed additions to my G17 for night time home defense.

    How about you guys?

My newest, a 3rd Gen 17 beginning with Hxxxxx has GLOCK nightsights and has an attached Insight Technology M6 lazer/light combo. Awesome on the street or in the home.

Hey Grooved! Yea, I got lucky and got a good return this year...anyway I purchased a couple of M1911's. First one is a Colt Combat Elite. Beautiful gun that shoots real well. I got some ten round mags and she functioned flawlessly with ball and with some Ranger SXT's that I had. About 100 rounds and no hiccups.

Also I purchased a Springfield GI. Awesome piece, I always wanted a WWII style M1911. She is beautiful and also functioned without any problems through 100 rounds of 230gr. WWB ball.

Last but not least I picked up an circa 1949 Inglis BHP. It's going to be a project gun...but I'll tell you what, even without any work she shoots beautifully. I got three hicap mags and have had a great time with that old piece.

I gotta run but I'll be back later.

Sounds like you have some excellent new additions.Congrats.Those JMB designs are classic. My only example so far is a FN Hi Power.Easily my most accurate pistol.Thinking about sending it(haven't decided where yet)for some work done.Like Novak sights, smooth thin grips, and action and trigger work. And maybe a complete NP3 or hard-chrome.

Enjoy your new pistols.I gotta go fondle my HP.

Yea, I'm not sure yet but I'm thinking about an OD green finish for the Inglis. I've seen some awesome finishes here on GT. I don't think I'll mess with the sights since it won't be a carry piece. Those arty sights are radical and why change something if it ain't broke.

A couple of weeks ago after I purchased the full size mags...I shot from 3, 7, 15 & 25 yards. Awesome accuracy and that from a gun that rattles like crazy. However, I've never shyed away from loose fitting guns. No problem with reliability. I was shooting WWB 115gr. Ball.

When I start working on her I'll let you know what is happening...

On the other hand...the Combat Elite shoots so good I just might get some Novaks or Heinie Straight Eights for reduced light capabilities. That gun would definitely fit the HD catagory.

    Howdy Hugo.

A while back I was thinking about selling my FN Hi Power. But then I wised up and realized what a gem of a pistol it is.

It feels good.It looks good. And it shoots pretty darn good.I use it for range only.I have other pistols dedicated for carry and home defense. Its fun and easy to shoot well with.

Though it was designed as a military service combat pistol, I think of it as a precision target pistol.Mine is a .40S&W caliber and its a keeper.Am on the prowl for a 9x19mm MKIII version.

I've only held a 1911 once.It was a Colt Series 80 in nickel.I remember it not feeling "right" in my hands.Maybe a Commander size would fit me.I'll try one on for size should I see one.

I bet your OD Green Inglis will look awesome.

    Hey Grooved,

First chance I get to post some decent pics I'll show you the real work horses of my stable. Since now I am using the G17 on duty and have the exact same gun in my house as my primary HD gun they get the title as #1 choice for work and home.

Not forgetting my little G26 which I carry on a daily basis...the G17's are the go to pieces if things get dicey or go bump in the night.

Both are fitted with lights and are stoked with Speer GDHP.

The G26 is a sweet pistol.I shot one a couple of years ago and was amazed by its low recoil and good accuracy for a sub-compact.

You love your Glocks and stick to 'em and I don't blame ya.

Wise choice on the Gold Dots.My G17 is loaded with DoubleTap GD's.

Nice...however I gottas stick with what they issue. Speer GDHP 124gr.

BTW, my G17's are fitted with Insight Tech. lights. The duty gun is a M3X and the HD 17 is sporting a M6X. Awesome lights that I highly recommend for anyone looking for a weapon light.

eddie, you're right...unfortunately, right now the pic thing is not working out for me. Maybe tomorrow with my cell phone I can load up a couple of crude pics of my G17's and the Para.

Here they are with their little sisters...

You'll notice the G26 on the left has an extended slide catch and is cocked and locked, since I just pulled her out of the holster for the pic.

One more. I almost didn't post this one cause they're not really sisters...just cousins, but the Kimber is the only small .45 I have...which means I really need to get the Warthog next time I have some mad money laying around:banana:
