Here is something that has been on my mind. I am considering getting night sights for my g-27 but I started thinking, those things are radioactive right? I am not sure I want that down by my private parts all day every day. Has any studies been done on this to prove they are safe?

not meaning to sound like a smart ***,but its low level and if you need them one night they can make all of the difference. cellphones probabably hurt us more. i know cigaretts do but i still smoke....

A scuba watch is probably higher in radio active material than the night sights.

You guys seriously messed things up for this guy. Maybe he has a really ugly wife and does not want kids. Information such as how many night sight sets would it take to make him sterile would be useful. He already has the alcohol/drug amount figured out. He married her remember.

Have you ever seen one of those semi-trucks halling what look like two giant grey barrels or a giant dumbell on a flatbed? That's nuclear waste. They're shielded, but not completely shielded. They're shielded to what's deemed "low enough" levels to be safe. Levels that happen to be equivalent to what you'd get from an x-ray.

Some trains carry these containers also.

You're exposed to far more radiation every day than you'll get from night sights.
