I'm planning on ordering night sights this week for my G17 gen4. I've heard night sights are poor for during the day. Has anyone tried the TruGlow T.F.O. fiber optic/tritium night sights? Any other recommendations besides the TFO? It's my carry gun btw

I have three guns with Meprolights on them and am very satisfied. I have no problems in daylight hours either.

I hear meprolights are the brightest(not sure if that is true). I was just curious if the TFO's were any better because I can get them for $75 as opposed to the Meprolights for $90

Trijicon HD in orange. The most useful night sights on the market.

So no TFO's here huh? Oh well. Meprolight says they cover their sights for 12 years and claim theirs are the brightest. Looks like I'll be ordering Meprolight on payday!

Get that warranty card in quickly. There is a 10 day grace period from sale date, I think.

Don't even try them! ;) Like Cheetoh's I tried out one set, now have them on three guns - the primary carry guns. I'm hooked. They've delivered for slow precision and speed up close. BTW I learned from Trijicon this week they do/will sell a .245 tall front which I may order but maybe not - $75 just for the front!

I'm waiting for my G26 slide to come back with Ameriglo Operators installed. I'll come back when I get to try them out.

Just had a set of Glock NS installed, they are plastic now :( probably not the end of the world but I would prefer metal bases :crying:

EDIT!! just scraped the bases with a knife, they are steel, my apologies, the casting had a plastic look to it, I should have checked into it further before posting wrong info

I've tried just about everything out there. The trijicon HD's are by far my favorite sights I have tried. I have 2 sets, and will be getting a 3rd. They can be had for about $126.00. Other then those, I had a couple sets of the TFO's, and if it wasn't for the Trij. HD's, I would be using those. The only thing about the TFO's, is they don't have a ledge for 1 handed racking, which I really think is a must!
