hello all i would like to add night sights to my new glock 26. what kind do you all reccomend and can i install them myself i am new to the glock world i do plan to carry this gun also thanks for the help everyone
There's a section devoted to just sights with tons of great information. I would suggest trying there first as this seems to be a question asked daily. Just so I don't soun like a complete a-hole I reccomend Meprolights or XS Sights.
I have had factory night sights installed on 2 of my glocks, about to get them on my third one. They are about 60 bucks installed, plus you have to pay to mail your slide to Glock. give them a call for full details. CB
I installed my own its very simple to do. My pistol had night sights already but the front sight didn't glow. The ones on my pistol didn't have the screw that the new ones had and was put in at the factory I assume. It took about 5 minutes and I just centered the rear sight in the slide. When I shot it it was dead on so no further adjustment was needed. I bought the new sights off ebay for about 60.00 if I remember right. I have the yellow rear and the green front sight. I like the contrasting colors.
Mepros, all the way. With the correct tools, you can do it yourself. Even though with night sights, I suggest using a sight pusher to install the rear. You can use a wooden dowel and a hammer to knock the factory rear off. Use more care when installing the new rear. If you have the funds, I'd suggest getting a sight pusher. You will also need a front sight tool...you can make one yourself from a hex driver, but they only cost a few bucks so I suggest buying one (mepro makes one as well for under $10). Lastly, some blue loctite for the the front site. Good luck. DH
I have trijicons on the 30. Recently had a chance to shoot my buddies 23 with XS Big Dot on there - going Big Dot on my 23 and 30 shortly.
http://www.lonewolfdist.com/Detail.aspx?PROD=1409 I know someone said midway has them for $89 bucks but it seems like Lonewolf is quicker IMHO.
