I have a lonely complete lower receiver and I am looking at my options for my next rifle. After getting some input, I think I want to build an "accuratized" 20" Rifle. I need your feedback on what your experiences have been with a varmit or target model for sniping.

Proposed Upper - Flat-top; 20" barrel; Flat-top gas block; flip up BUIS; flash hider; "cheap good" scope 4.5-10x42 mm I already have.

Current Lower - M-4 stock, DPMS guts; Isreali pistol grip.

Give me your thoughts and post pics of your builds and suggerstions for improvements My goal is 1" groups at 200 meters on std 55 gr LC.

    Thanks,

    Garrett

Buy a RRA 2 stage trigger it is the most inexpensive good trigger, $110.
Giessele if you want a high dollar-$279

1" groups at 200=1/2 at 100 more or less that means a real match grade barrel not a "Match" barrel from Gunbroker or DPMS or Model 1, still with factory ammo you may not get there.

WOA may have some Shilen barrels but you may have a year wait.
Frank White at Compass Lake engineering may be able to help you out.
Derrick Martin at Accvuracy Speaks is another.

That's NOT going to get him shooting 1/2 MOA groups. :dunno:
While it is a great quality upper, it would be good for 1 MOA group at best.

He's talking about budget optics, I assume he's probably not aiming for sub MOA as it is.
