I'm looking to pick up a range, maybe home defense, pistol (G34 currently filling that role).

Both the 10mm and .357Sig rounds have always intrigued me, but I had never bought one as the availability of rounds was less than ideal. However using the gun in the role intended above I am contemplating them.

Any words of advise? Ill have to call around and see if any ranges have either to rent but if not I don't know which way to lean.

    Thanks

Both are great choices for HD & range use. At the range, you'll make lots of new friends shooting either caliber. Kinda a plus if you like to borrow/shoot various other guns & calibers, because everyone will want to shoot yours.

I'd go for the G31, mostly because I own & love that caliber, & the G31 is next on my list (I own a G32). When comparing ammo availability & pricing of 10mm vs. 357sig, it might be a crapshoot, but I'd give the edge to 357sig in finding it on the shelves.

    Thanks.

I know my Walmarts here locally have .357sig all the time. Never seen 10mm on the shelves though. Im also leaning towards a compensated model. Is that a bad idea?

My next pick up will be a G31.....ammo is readily available for 10mm online...I've have all mine from Georgia arms (great ammo)....love my G20/G29......either one you can't go wrong......357sig readily available locally and online too...good luck in your decision!

I have the 31, and it is by far my favorite pistol. Serves both HD and range. Downside is the price of ammo, however there are sites where you can buy in bulk and save. I've never seen 10mm ammo at my local Walmart and would imagine it's about the same cost... My wife loves to shoot the 31 too, and does very well with it

Thanks for the input from above.

Im going to order the 31C my dealer has. I didnt even think of the other benefits of the 31 over the 20. The 31 will fit in all my 9mm glock framed holsters for IDPA.

With the G20 you can shoot 357 sig with a cov barrel. G20 all the way.

I have many Glocks. I end up carrying them like this, depending on dress and circumstances:

    Large - G20SF
    Med - G32C
    Small - Kahr P9

I can't speak from experience, so listen to others here who have :), but I'm getting a G20 for HD soon - maybe in April or May. I love the 10mm round, fast, powerful, and in a Glock? Love it!

G20 can shoot .40 and .357 with barrel changes.
    9x23 or 25 also, I think?

Never thought about the barrel change for the 10mm to go to .357sig. Thanks everyone.

Just ordered a blue-label G32 through Glockmeister. $419 shipped to my FFL, cant beat that deal.

They had some G20 and G20SFs as well too. Maybe next month Ill order one of those.

    Thanks all.
