Curious what the latest crop of S30SF's or G29SF's to hit the streets has been and if they have corrected the multitude of problems they were having.

Please post here if you have one of the newer prefixed guns NXXXXX or newer.

I have a few questions for you guys:

    1) Are you having any malfunctions?
    2) Does your trigger bar show the slide gouge?
    3) is your barrel impacting the locking block on the sides, leaving gouges and effecting feeding?
    4) Are your mags still near impossible to insert when full?
    5) Are your ejectors rubbing on the slides?
    6) Are you happy with your purchase?

Just curious as I am awaiting a G29SF and am curious if they have even attempted to correct these problems or I am simply rolling the dice.

I'm hoping for a P prefix gun as they are the latest production and hopefully have all the problems worked out - one can only hope.....

    Thanks for your feedback.

No news is good news IMO. If nobody is getting on here kicking and screaming maybe the newer 30sf's are getting better.

Time will tell, but by then the Gen 4 will become the standard. Hopefully the full size gen 4's will be great.

Maybe they are still on gun dealers shelves?? These are fairly new production.

    1) Are you having any malfunctions?

Yes, the slid lock spring does not provide enough tension on the slide lock. The spring will stick all the way down allowing the slide lock to "Slide" out the side of the frame.

    No FTF or FTRTB

    2) Does your trigger bar show the slide gouge?

    Just a little

    3) is your barrel impacting the locking block on the sides, leaving gouges
    and effecting feeding?

    Don't see any issue.

    4) Are your mags still near impossible to insert when full?

Can only get 9 in my 10 rd mag even after being loaded for 3 months.

    5) Are your ejectors rubbing on the slides?

    Don't see any issue.

    6) Are you happy with your purchase?

Not really. A firearm should be perfect right out of the box. No exceptions. Mine isn't. That is unacceptable. So now I have to spend $60 ot $70 to ship it back to Glock.

It is a sweet shooting pistol however.

My trigger bar has the slide gouge. Not sure to what extent this is a problem or what to do about it. My G30sf is breaking in and no longer bounces all the empties off my head. Only a few of them now.

Yes I have marks on the trigger bar, but that is not the issue. My problem is that the rear rails are too low. There is no clearance between the slide and the frame. This makes in very difficult to load a 10 round mag with one in the chamber. With a full mag and loaded chamber I can not rack the slide to extract a round. 13 round mags work great. Am I happy? Not 100% When I get a chance I will take it up to Glock as I am fortunate enough to live within driving distance.

andy and flatag field strip your gun and look at the barrel. Are there noticeable wear spots on the bottom of the barrel barrel where they contact either side of the locking block?

    This provides a better description:

Curious if the newest batches out are still having this problem.

Also - inspect your brass - seeing any dents?
