    Hi Kababayans,

Kamusta sa inyo? I'm new to this forum and just thought i'd say hello. I'm a new proud owner of a G17. This is my first Glock and would like to learn more about it from ya all. I also own a Norc. 1911 Commander and a Ruger 10/22. I just got the G17 two days ago and was wondering if i should field strip and clean it first before shooting or can i shoot it straight out of the box? Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Happy Holidays!

    salamat po,
    Dan :)

as a matter of habit, i field sripped and cleaned my glock before i fired it. you'd notice though that it contains a liberal amount of copper-based factory lube. some people remove this while some don't. doesn't matter. it's a glock. anyway, enjoy sir and be safe. welcome to BoG!

    Maligayang Pasko sa iyo, Dan.

If your Glock is new from the factory, there is no need to clean it. Just go to the range and shoot.

I see you're from Vancouver, Canada.

Glocks work very well with your generic Winchester white box 9mm 124 gr ammo from Walmart.

Gusto nilang ibawal ang Restricted firearms(handguns, AR15s) bec. of shooting incidents na nangyari in the past but maraming legal gun owners ang sumasangayon. I doubt na mangyayari yun for now hopefully:) Kaya to piss the politicians(Liberals) off, lumakas ang benta ng handgun dito:thumbsup:

My G17 is new from the factory. Wala na ring Winchester white box in 9mm from Walmart dito. Mainly for hunting na ammo lang ibinibenta ng walmart. I usually get my ammo from gunstores here(Federal, Fiochi, etc.) But mainly i use reloads(FMJ).

    thanks :)
