Picked up Griffin's newest last nite. "By Order of the President" is the name (if I recall correctly, I'm not at home). It's a new series that is set in the present day. I'll let ya know what I think in a couple of days.

I just started reading that last night. Pretty good so far, normal W.E.B. Griffin character development.

I'm a little bit disappointed. It's pretty much the same story line as the other ones.

It's WEB Griffin. What else did you expect?

I know, I know. I've stopped reading Clancy. Maybe it's time to add Griffin to that list.

I finished reading this last night. Its one of Griffin's formulaic stories, just set with today's backdrop. That being said, I still like to read his books, but this is the first one in several years.

I think my next batch of books will be some stuff from the SFQC reading list.

I love WEB Griffin cop novels, but being from Philly, why wouldn't I?
Think I'll pick up his new book. Thanks.
    See you at the Roundhouse.

I think I am going to wait ten years and buy the series.

I'm a big WEB fan but his books aren't generally published in the UK, but thanks to Amazon I can still get them :)

On the subject of Tom Clancy, there has been some quite serious suggestions that he's had little or nothing to with the last few books with his name on them. I do mean the 'proper' Tom Clancy books and not the various series of books that are done openly in association with other authors.

You read WEB knowing their formulaic. Rather like watching Law & Order.

    So what? Enjoy them.

I like WEB, especialy "The Corps" series. I read the first and second books of the "Cop" series he did, and thought they were good.

Definitely would like to know if this new one is worth getting.
