We have been staying in hotels a lot lately and I have noticed something. The pillows are getting smaller, like throw pillow small. WTH? I do not like this new trend.

I bring my own - using other peoples pillows is a disgusting thought.

My cousin and his wife take their own shower head and tools to change them. Don't like the low flow heads.

Word. I get that John Candy/Steve Martin image.

Oh, wait - those weren't pillows...

I hate huge pillows anyway. Small and having support is better for the kinks.

I hear you can get bigger pillows, but it costs $47 at the end of their stay.

I dont mind the size, but do mind the fact, that your head get buried in them and offer no support at all. I always have to fold them to get some elevation.:steamed:

It's more of a changing trend in pillows than hotels. They just happen to have the newer types.

Also, I bring my own ( yes, aha, very funny), as I also am very icked out at the thought of sharing. I also yank off the bedspread and throw it in the closet the second I walk in.

I have noticed most places now have several pillows on the bed instead of just two. Four to six is not uncommon and sometimes they have different firmness for you to choose from.

Thats a good point and not every hotels housekeeping is good even in the nicer hotels. My buddy turns his pillows covers in side out and flips the pillow over. I guess its for his peace of mind and not a bad idea. Nothing can be 100% unless you bring your own I guess.
