Got a new toy from Glockmeister today. It is the Glock made light/laser GTL21. This is pretty cool. I got the laser sighted in on my G23 and this looks like it will be a nice accessory to carry just in case. Only trouble is I can’t put my gun in the holster with this on. I’ll have to carry it in a vest pocket.

Safariland makes couple holsters that accomodate pistols with light/laser accessories.

I don't really see the value/point in buying and carrying something that you will have to attach to the gun when you pull it out.

They are expensive (by way too much for me ATM) but I'd like to get one of the internal lasers that installs by replacing the guide rod. That would be nice. :)

I will need to get a holster for it that accommodates the laser/light.

I would think that the dimmer switch might come in handy. Does anyone know if it affects the light only or the laser as well? I could see how wanting to dim the laser wouldn't make sense but maybe you want to use the laser in combo with your nitesites and the full luminescence of the light may be too much? I don't know...

I have the GTL21 and I don't even have a rail gun to put it on. It's awfully handy have when walking to my car at night, and I've found the laser keeps my cat entertained. ;e

Actually it was bought as motivation to get a G22, which I have yet to buy. With new batteries in both units it'll outshine my Streamlight M6 with both the flashlight and laser.

Just received my GTL22 and all I can say is that this thing's design is amazing. I like the fact that I can keep my Glock fully accessorized and still maintain OEM quality for the light/laser. Can't wait to get home and fit it on.

Glad you recognize it as a toy. They're fun to play with but that's about it, IMHO.

Well I installed my GTL22 yesterday, and the red dot meets the sight alignment up to 50 yards out of the box! I am glad that this product is as fine tuned and engineered to meet it's price range. Very happy with my purchase. Will recommend it to my girlfriend for her 19.

why would a lot of companies put rails on there guns if "they" thought it was just a toy? I can think of many situations where a light would come in handy, where you wouldnt want to take your hands off your weapon while doing it. Its your personal preference also so have your opinion. All these assesory "mall ninja" is it? type stuff are there for a reason, not to just " play around with " These are weapons not toys. Just think about it. You might not have a use for it but others do.

    toy lol

Weapon lights are seeing heavy use in Iraq--both on combat rifles and pistols. Where their aren't enough to go around, they're in big demand! This "issue" (tool or toy?) is hardly academic for our soldiers. ;P

Also in huge demand--the venerable .45 ACP! ;)
