Well I just brought home my first Glock. Sold as used but unfired. Looks very clean, if fired at all maybe just a couple times. I know the search function isnt working so is the only way to tell the date of manufacture by calling Glock and asking? Otherwise Ill take a guess and say the date on the envelope, which contain the fired casings, pretty much approximate the birth of the gun (11/01/2002). The envelope happens to be sealed along with another enevelope which Im assuming is the manual. Anything else I should know?

I bought mine the same way pretty much. EXTREMELY low round count, unopened casings and manual. How much did you pay (if you don't mind me asking)? AMAZING gun. Get some Pearce extensions and atleast one 9 round mag with flat baseplate. ;c ;c

Edit: C-TAC is your friend

I paid $550 which I know is way to much for the rest of the country but its not to bad from California. They want 50-100 for a new one.
