So, I saw this G48 advertised as NIB for trade on Armslist. I responded and offered up a pistol I wasn't shooting and the guy said yes. We met about halfway and traded.
That was yesterday. Since then I have put a few rounds through it and have dry fired it a bunch with my laserlyte. I must admit I am impressed. I am really liking this gun alot.
It doesn't hurt that it fits in my keepers concealment holster for my G43. Groups with it are tight, and can't seem to miss dry firing it with the laser. At this rate it might bump my G19 out of its carry slot. Especially since it just disappears under my shirt in the keepers holster.
I have night sights ordered for it to replace the glock standard sights currently on it. I thought about getting one of these several months ago and didn't. I had a 43X and didn't like it so I assumed I wouldn't like the 48 either but I was wrong. Here is a picture so it happened.

    With an S15 magazine it’s a good replacement for a G19.

Thanks for the heads up. I might have to try those. I am assuming you have some. Your impressions of the mag?

Great buy! Like mine a lot especially with Shield S15 mags! Over 13k rounds, runs great! :D

Love my 48. It’s replaced both my 19 and 26 for carry. Easy to carry appendix, full grip. Sexy. I’m not messing with the aftermarket mags. But that’s just me.

Do you happen to know if the strike industry mag plates fit those mags?

No. I do not know that. Just curious, why would you want to do that? Just asking.

One of the mags that came with it has them on it. It feels better in my big hands than the ones that don't.

The two of you talked me into ordering two of them to try.

I just got my 48 today. My first gun. Gun virgin no more. Put about 75 rounds through it. Very comfortable, nice fit and feel. But, the only thing I have to compare it to is the 19 I've been renting at the range.

I'm very happy with it. Black on black with OEM night sights. Added a Hogue grip for a little more girth in the grip.

G43x with Brownells optic cut slide and a Romeo Zero, DAT overwatch trigger and S15 magazine and metal catch on the left.

Sig P365XL with Shield RMSc and 15 round magazine on right.

I’m an AIWB 1 o’clock carry guy, so slide length matters for me when sitting.

I don’t think you can go wrong with any combination of G43/x/48 or P365/XL.

I personally shoot the XL better than the others, but everyone is a little different.

Also note that you’ll need a metal mag release catch or you’ll chew up your polymer one very quickly.

Be sure to order their metal mag catch as well, the mags will chew the plastic OEM ones.

Congrats! I love a good trade or local purchase. I really like my G48 too. It replaced the G19 as my long time favorite. It is the thinner and lighter Glock 19 I wanted for years. Best wishes.

The grip on the G48 is really thin width-wise but feels a little awkward because it is still long length-wise. It feels a bit out of proportion to me. I can see those with large and maybe even medium hands having an issue with it.
