I just picked up a G29 last night. :pepper:

I've entered the realm of the 10mm. This is a used 2nd Gen G29 it excellent condition that has had a grip reduction and stipple job. Looks like the stipple job is a Marine Tex texturing job and was done very well. It came with the tupperware box and cleaning rod/brush, but only one mag. Price was $479+tax. I haven't shot it yet but I plan to later today. I'll try and get some pics up after lunch to show you guys. I'm happy. Should make a nice hiking pistol to pack in my SafePacker holster.

I love my G20s and G29s. Post a pix or two. Mike McNett at DoubleTap makes some fine 10mm ammo for hikers etc. Enjoy! :)

The only problem with my G29 (aside from the cost of 10mm ammo) is when I shoot it I get this stupid grin on my face that lasts for a few hours... I have a 27, 29, 32 and a 35 and the 29 is by far the most fun to shoot. Great round and a comfortable sized pistol, not as small as the 27, but not as big as the 32.

    Good luck with it

Congrats on your G29. I try to stay away from Glock 10mm's because of the cost and availablity of ammo. I just picked up a 2.5 gen G20C.:faint:

I just can't stay away from Glock ten's.

I see Lone Wolf makes a 10mm to .40 conversion barrel. I might have to pick one of those up. What mags do you use when using the conversion barrel? I might also get the pinky extension from Pearce.

Use G29 mags. 10mm, .40, and 357sig all can be shot out of a g29 with just a simple barrel change using g29 mags.

What I really like about this is that shell extraction should theoretically be reliable, as opposed to .40 to 9mm conversion with G27 and such.. where dimensions are different.

    I want a G29 too...

You gotta get one or two or... a G20.

Lone wolf conversion barrels work great. One of my G29's is a pre 2005 (no light rail and had some issues with the "chamber box" on the barrel hanging up at the front of the slide. I took a dremel to round and polish the sharp corners on the barrel and it works flawlessly now. I'd also consider a 21lb or 22lb Wolff Springs/Guide Rod. I think 21lb is best all around guide rod - handles the FBI lite to very hot loads well. The .40 SW conversion works great - use 10mm magazines. You may also want to look into an Advantage Arms 22LR conversion kit for the G29 (which also fits the G30 and G29/G30 SF) for cheap shootin'. But, you won't get the same smile when shooting a 180 Grain Bullet at 1300+ FPS. 10MM - when a .45ACP just isn't enough :) or a 9x25 Dillon - when a 9MM is just too darn slow :)

Congrats amigo, My G29 with a lone wolf 40 conversion works great, cheaper for the range as well. Gotta love those Double Taps though.
