Just picked this up last Saturday.
NICE! Based on the Rear Sight, I'd guess it's a "Dash Three" or earlier...and it looks to be in GREAT shape...Congrats on an EXCELLENT "Find"!....mikey357
Nice. I've had a 686 since the 80s. It is still my go to gun for accuracy.
LOVE them. I just picked up a 686 CS-1 ( yep the Holy Grail)
So, are you chomping at the bit to go fire it? Or what?
Nice, that look's good.
Thanks everyone. Yep, I'm ready to go make this thing go bang. I'm hoping this weekend. We're suppose to have some good weather. From what I can tell, this has no dashes. Unless I'm not looking in the right spot.
I've also had a 686, 6", since the mid 80's. Can't remember when I got it, but thinking about 85.
Got to shoot it about a week ago. Damn, what a sweet shooter. Looking for a holster so I can put it in my carry rotation.
Very nice looks great.
Congratulations. Normally I don't care for a full lug barrel, but I might make and exception if I ever run across one of those. That is a fine looking gun.
IF it has a "dash" number, it will be on the inside of the yoke. Open the cyliner, and it should be right there.
This one has no dashes.
