I just purchased a glock 27 last week, I am completely hooked , my question is? I want to purchase a 2nd gun is the 29 a big jump in gun as far as power and recoil. I've shot an xds.45 which has a pretty big kick

The 29 is a pretty snappy pistol with the full power loads that are its raison d'etre. Without having seen you shoot, I can't tell if you're ready for it or not. That said, your G27 in .40 S&W ain't no .22 rimfire, and if you are shooting it well there is no reason you shouldn't be able to shoot well with its 10mm big brother. Try one in a range rental place if you can. If you buy it and find 10mm is too much in that small a package, you can always trade it in.
