I don't spend a lot of time at the Glock website but I do know they went a long, long time without updating it. The G37 and G38 both had been on the market for quite a while before they received any mention at all.

I just checked it and now they're prominently featuring the GAP models. Does anyone know if this is where they went after the long lull, or has there been another update? I ask because I'm wondering if this signals their intent to market the GAP more aggressively.

It's probably an effort to market the G37/G38/G39 worldwide.

The video said that it was Glock and Winchester that developed that round. I thought it was Glock and Speer? Don't get me wrong, I really like the GAP, I wish that people would get their facts right when they post a report.

I seriously doubt that the GAP will ever really catch on. If you want a small .45 why not just get a 30sf ? GAP ammo is expensive, hard to find...whats the point ?
gap ammo is cheaper than 45acp places i have looked at. also, it allows for the grip to be smaller, not just the gun. the GLOCK 38 45 gap is the same size as the 19 where the GLOCK 21 is rather large and bulky

The reason for the high prices is simple. The demand is not high enough to warrant more production (supply):dunno: . If more individuals new what the round is capable of then more would want to buy it:wow:. I have seen numerous people at the range shoot and fall in love with the GAP (G38 my preference). Same frame as G23 with less felt recoil and more power. The round is amazing.

The question is, will there ever be a high demand for the GAP ? If not, how can it survive ?
As for more power, the GAP only has 68 fp over the 40.
I will stick with my 13 +1 rounds of 40 cal....:tongueout:

I doubt it.Just because a few P.D. 's picked it up doesn't mean it will become popular with all shooters.I have no use for it, amd i doubt that many others do.Why carry a full size GAP that only holds 10 rounds when you could have a 30sf that packs 10 .45 acp rounds in a more compact package?
Because...(sigh)
The G37 is a full size Glock, not a compact; the 30sf is NOT more compact than a G38.
The GAP frames are SMALLER (same as the 17/19/26) than a 30sf and fit a lot of people better.
The 30sf is butt heavy. For me the GAPs balance better.

How does the 10mm survive? How does the .357sig survive? How does the .41 mag survive? Doesn't take "high demand" to survive.

Maybe you misunderstood me.My point was that to have the same mag. capacity as the 30sf you would have to carry a full size GAP, as the 38 only holds 8 rounds , compared to 10 in the 30 sf.

But who the hell wants a fat grip like the 30sf? Ewww.
