We lost our little girl Dachshund, Gretchen, right after Christmas. She was one of the sweetest little girls. She was also one of the scrappiest little dogs when it came to defending her people and her yard from other animals. The wife and I finally decided to start looking for a new little girl. We put in with Texas Dachshund rescue for red piebald little Doxie girl but she was already taken. A few days later we got an email that they had a very sweet black and white piebald girl who was part of a cruelty seizure from a puppy mill in Alvin, TX. Well, we met her today. Her name is Piper. She's still very skittish but starting to warm up to us. She really likes our youngest male Doxie, Bentley. They played in the backyard running around like they were crazy. Here's a crappy cell phone pic of Piper. I'll try to put up some better pictures when I get home.
