That is a sweet patch for sure.
We can fix your low and slightly to the left.......... Just pullin your leg. Great pic.
Well, it's not *too* low, I was using a 6 o'clock hold...but I already fixed it!
Thats where he was aiming? I sometimes pick a spot/line on the target.
Relation of point of aim to the target depends on at least distance to target and sight height over bore height. It’s important to establish those two variables because not everyone uses the same sight enhancement. I shoot normally mini holos. I have a higher then normal bore to sight plane.
He said he used a 6 o’clock hold. I’m assuming he put the black circle at the top of his front sight.
As for where I aim it depends on my distance to target, sight enhancement I’m using and what I am trying to hit. Oh, speed or shot to shot time plays a variable on sight use.
Too much in a response?..........Little surprise as its coming from me. My apologies in advance.
Where'd you get the patch?
Glock Collectors Association DJ... They are selling those very reasonably priced on their website.
Correct! Using the 6 o'clock hold on a bullseye target gives you a clear, specific, repeatable point of aim, and it makes it much easier to look at your front sight instead of trying to see/find the center of the target, or any other spot.
It helps you do your best shooting, and shoot a good group. The better the group, the more accurately you can make a sight change to make the gun shoot to where you want it to in relation to where you aim.
Hitting the middle of the X ring is only important if you're competing in a bullseye match. If that's what I was gonna do, I'd adjust the rear sight to make the bullets hit the middle of the X ring while still using the 6 o'clock hold. But I want it to hit point of aim....which it was already very close to.
Is this a trick question DJ?
How've you been?
I'm good, man; hope you're the same (or better!).
Not a trick question, I just don't browse around like I used to.
No time, I waste too much of it typing long-winded posts.
Asking saves time, now I can just go buy some; thanks!
Love the patch.
That is a neat patch
Got mine in the mail last week, it was a nice surprise!
