    Hey Everyone
Back to a Glock after 15 years away. Had to sell most of my gun collection during my first fight with cancer back in 96. 3 Series 70 1911s, Colt Python...a g17 ,g19 and a 22 as well as a handful of of little gems. Like a High Standard Crusader and a Colt Mustang that i loved. Right around 2000 I started shooting again and picked up a Series 80 1911. Then 2003 cancer again...stopped shooting all together. I sold a car Tuesday and had some "disposable income" because I got much more than I expected after 2 guys had a bidding war in front of my apartment. loved it.. Long story longer...I got a new Gen 3 G19 about a half an hour ago. OHHHH YAAAAA. I"M BACK!!!
SVU prefix tested 03/06/12. Trigger about 5 pounds with a very very short reset. I'm likin' it. Haven't test fired yet but I'm ordering some Lawman 147gr to break her in. I love Speer Lawman. Very clean. I had almost 9000 rounds through my old G19 and when I sold it, it really still looked new. Just the usual wear marks on the barrel hood etc but super clean. So that's it. I'll give a range report and let you guys know what's up in a week or so.

    Cheers
    SW

Thanks bro. It is what is. Not fun but you do the best you can to get through it.
My neighbor just gave me a couple of boxes of CCI/independence 124gr fmj and told me there's an outdoor range in Fort Lauderdale. So we're goin' shootin. I love shootin outdoors, the light is so much better on my old eyes.

    Cheers

Hope you are doing well! That being said, and not stating you only have one, but possibly close to only having one firearm. I too, would make it a Glock. Enjoy!!!!!!!!!!

I resisted Glocks for 20 years.
Finally broke down and bought one.
Now the G27 is my EDC - LOL!

It's amazing how much ammo has changed over the years too.
New bonded HPs that retain their weight punching through light barriers.
New HP designs that expand more reliably at lower velocities.
Fast burn low flash gunpowder and over pressure ammo.
Speer GDHP, Winchester Ranger T-Series and Federal HST
have rewritten performance from Self Defense handguns.

Enjoy your return to Glocking and being part of GlockTalk.
Lots of good folks here with a wealth of information and experience.

The internet has really changed everything - LOL!
