You can't get here from there!
Picked up a second generation G19 from a buddy yesterday for $125. His furnace died and he was clearing out a few guns to get it fixed. No one else wanted it and it was the only one he had left that he was selling.

The price is fantastic and it is in good functional condition but it is also well worn, the night sights are barely visible in the dark, and he stippled the grip with a soldering gun. :faint:

I am going to send it back to Glock for a new third generation frame ($43), slide refinish ($45), night sights ($57), and general rebuild/replacement of worn parts ($0), and they pick up the tab for shipping it back to me.

So for a total of $270 and shipping one way, I'll have what amounts to a brand new third generation G19.

I will try to scrounge a camera so I can post before and after pics. :wavey:

    Regards,
    Happyguy :)

    That's a smokin' deal!

I have a G23 that I'd like to have night sights and a new Gen 3 frame.

Do you have a link to the info on sending it in for work to Glock?

Do you have to mail it through an FFL, or just through UPS?

I looked up their phone number on the website and asked to speak to customer service when they answered.

You can send it yourself, no need for an FFL as long as it is being returned to the same person.

Finally called Glock today and they quoted me $150 + tax to upgrade my G23 to 3rd Gen frame, and (like yours) $57 for Glock night sights, installed.

I think I'll pass on the frame upgrade at that cost.

A great deal, but I hope this "buddy" of yours is not a GOOD buddy, cause you robbed him.
