Looking for some advice to replace my old Dell 17" flat panel monitor.

I've been slowly upgrading my Dell 8200 PC this past year and now it's time to upgrade my monitor.

I'd like a flatscreen/widescreen in at least 19" ... but say no bigger than 21".

Price is an oblject and I'd like to keep it as afordable as possible, but not buy junk. Let's say in the $150-$250ish price range.

Any brands to stay away from? I've breifly checked newegg and tigerdirect, but any other sites are appreciated.

I mainly use my home PC for gaming or surfing the net. I do a little bit of home business stuff, but mostly gaming :)

I've had 6 Samsung LCD's over the years, still have 4 of them. They run 24/7 for years on end. I've never had a problem with them.

I've had a Samsung 940BW for 6 months now without any troubles of any kind. Mine was $200 at Best Buy; the posted link above is a great deal. Good luck with whatever you decide to purchase.

I use www.pricewatch.com for purchasing all my new computer hardware, including monitors/LCDs, for business purposes.

For personal use, I prefer to get a really good deal, which means I buy used and/or refurbished. Most of the time it's eBay, but I also watch bargain sites like www.woot.com for good deals.

I got a 19" wide panel just like Entelodont's for Christmas. It's really nice and no dead pixels. The price is right too.

Anyone using a KVM in DVI Mode? I'm not finding anythink locally for sharing my new monitor in DVI Mode with my 2 PC's.
