Hello all, I am a recent Glock convert. I was all for the XD series and just thought they were an "upgraded" Glock but I believe I was wrong. I still think they have their place but I couldn't carry my XD9 4" comfortably at all and I really didn't like the SC versions. SO now I have a Glock 33 and LOVE it!

I shot 10 rounds out of it yesterday after I bought it. It was getting dark and I was outside at my ceek. I am very impressed with how it shot. I hit a 1' diameter rock at about 50 yards that I was just using for a aiming point that I didn't dream of actually hitting. I can't wait to get some more rounds through it!

Welcome. You made a good choice. That's a big upgrade from the XD.

The Glock 33 is an excellent choice. I did the same thing as you. I started off with the XD sub-compacts and other "higher end" polymers. I fought Glock all the way. I did not want to become one of the kool-aid drinkers. I always told myself they can't be as great as people say or they would cost more. It turns out reliability does not have to be expensive. I have even come to appreciate the simple and rugged good looks of the Glock. In the end all the others are traded off or sitting in my safe and my Glock 33 goes with me everywhere. Here is mine with it Lone Wolf stainless slide and night sights. :)
