Just thought I would say howdy. Brand new to GT and Glock in general. My first Glock I just purchased is a Gen 4 Glock 22. I have been carrying a XD9 at my job for about 3 years now and decided to make the switch. Any good suggestions on a good concealed carry holster for the new Glock would be much welcomed. I work in a personal protection capacity and we have to carry under our suit jacket. I currently carry my XD9 in a Blackhawk holster. Will need to get at least a level 2 retention rig for my Glock. If I could see some photos of some holsters everyone is using that would be really great!
    Thanks!:wavey:

    Welcome!

I've never had to use a retention holster, so I can't help you with that, but I'm sure some of the other members will chime in with some opinions.

Welcome to GT. I carry IWB so I'll be of no use there.

    Welcome and congrats! :wavey:

Sorry, but I also join the ranks of IWB responses that can't help on retention carry.

Sorry about that, the level of retention refers to the number of locking devices on the holster. My Blackhawk holster has the retention screw and the locking button release on the side. Would like to find a leather holster for my Glock and move away from the plastic holsters. May still consider the plastic type of holsters as the Blackhawk has not let me down yet.
Sorry about the confusion on the retention level. A leftover term from my Highway Patrol days. Sometimes it is hard to remember to talk normal.
    Again thanks for the help!!:cop:

I really like SafariLand's ALS holsters for this sort of thing. Comfortable, very fast. The two locking devices deactivate very naturally.

While this video is for a "duty" holster, it explains the system.

I only carry IWB as a civilian so I'm also of no help with a retention holster. But I wish you good luck in finding one that suits your job.
