I have 2 new 9 round mags for my G30. I can only get 8 rounds in them. They have been loaded with 8 rounds for 24 hours. Still can't get 9 in. Any ideas? Thanks. I like these because of the flat bottom. Conceals easier.

Keep filling them up. We could only get 8 in my wifes 26. A year later they both fill up easily.

    Takes time... Or shootin:supergrin:

Either way, it will loosen up with a little time.

Just kidding. Are you using the magloader? If not, try it.
If you hate it...buy a Maglula. Best 25 dollars or so you'll ever spend.

If neither of those do it dissasemble the mag and compress the back and forth for a half hour while you watch TV, reassemble and BAM...good to go.

Use the Glock Mag loader tool to stretch them out. Load seven and use the loader tool to move the rounds up and down the magazine by pushing down on the tool as you slap the mag base against your leg. When it moves easily put in an 8th round and repeat. It usually only takes me about 5 to 10 bounces before the parts start sliding and aligning properly.

I should mention that my minimum mag capacity is 15 because I use a G22, and my max is 19 with the Dawson +5 pads.

I had the same problem, just kept the mags loaded for several weeks and everything was fine.

Put a +1 extension on it, you will fit 9 and eventually 10.

I got two mags from OMB just like yours for my G30. I could only get 8 rds loaded. They are now sitting with those 8 rds for a few weeks and I will try again. I am using the Glock mag loader.

Shoot more. This will build up the muscles and callouses on your loading thumb and enable you to load your mags fully. It will also break in the springs and make them easier to load.

This is the finest piece of advice I have ever offered:

    ..

    ..

    ..

    ..

    Wait for it..

    ..

The last two rounds into the magazine are always the hardest, so load those two first.

Yep, new mags are harder to load. Load 4 and do mag push-ups, then load two more and work the spring up and down some more. Not to worry, they will loosen up. This is very common.
