Hi there. I bought some Hogue cocobolo grips at the SHOT show. The good: They definitely have more grip than stock walnut grips but they aren't "cheese grater" grippy. A perfect balance IMHO. They have a very nice look IMHO as well. The feel (profile) in the hand is very nice. My perception is that they are a bit thinner, but I have no measurements to back this up. They "feel" thinner. The opportunities for improvement: The fit is decent, but not perfect. The front of the grips don't quite sit down flat on the frame, creating a bit of a gap. Not sure if it's a warp issue with the wood or an inside contour issue. Regardless, it could be improved a bit sometime. All in all, I like them. Just thought I'd share. Snapped a quick pic this am before heading out to shoot a bit. Got a warm streak here-might hit low-mid 20's here today.
