Just realized I might have posted this in the wrong forum... but didn't really see an "intro forum" anywhere.... Mods if i've made a mistake please feel free to move this to the correct forum.... First post and I already feel like I'm screwing up lmao.
I can't wait to get my hands on it. Already have a range date planned with my pops on Sunday. I've wanted a Glock 21 for over 10 years now, ever since I first shot my Dad's. Already planning my next purchase... I thought I would be able to carry the 21 as a CCW, but I think it's going to be a bit too big to carry comfortably.

Your in the right place, you're talking about Glocks.:supergrin: As far as a CCW, check out the G36. If you what to stick with 45 ACP, its the easiest to conceal. But, the G30 isn't bad.
It'll be a bit before I can make another purchase... my G21 set me back 500 dollars lol. Bought it from a family friend. Has less than 100 rds through it. Came with 3 mags and a whimpy paddle holster that will do the job at the range until I can afford something a little better, and left handed haha. I just remembered a couple of questions. Pardon my ignorance ahead of time, I've tried to do a bit of research on my own but can't seem to find a solid answer.
1. I'm left handed, and while I've learned my way around "right handed pistols," I wouldn't mind a left handed mag release. I've noticed on Glocks, it looks like there's a cut out exactly opposite on the grip where the mag release is. Is it possible to either flip the mag release or buy an after market part? I don't mind if I can't, but, might be nifty to have if I ever have a chance to compete.
2. I live in the oh-so-wonderful state of California, and I know we aren't allowed to have mags that hold more than 10 rounds. If I bought a +1 or +2 attachment, would that be illegal still? I'm 99% sure it would be illegal, but I thought I'd ask.
3. This is going to sound silly. My girlfriend lives in a rougher part of town, and is interested in purchasing a pistol as well. She wants a "pink" glock. I know there are shops out there that can refinish a slide... any chance one out there can paint it pink? Lol I feel so dumb asking.

I'm kinda partial to the .45 acp, but am open to any suggestions. The 36 looks good. I may look into a 9mm, since my girlfriend has taken an interest in shooting with me. She's going with me to the range on Sunday, let's see how she gets with the .45. Lol.
Welcome!! Fairly new myself after having lurked for 6 months. Best thing to do to your 21 is feed her, she'll love it. Practice is the best mod you can make. Maybe some night sights too if you plan to carry or use for HD.
I'm planning regular trips to the range, as money for ammo allows anyway. For Sunday I bought a couple box's of Wally world ammo lol... They were the only place in town that had any range ammo. I'd love to learn how to reload, but, without the money for equipment, or the space for that matter, whatever I can get my hands on will have to suffice. From what I understand, though, our tupperware guns will pretty much eat anything you give it, as long as the caliber is right lol. I'll have a range report after the range. Let's hope I don't suck too bad.

Not sure yet, It is still a ways off before I do. Leaning towards a 36, I love me some .45 acp, but, I may go with the 26.... just depends on if I get a chance to shoot them before I make a purchase. The indoor range here in Fresno has a great selection of rentals... I'll check both the 26 and the 36 out when I have an opportunity... My 21 set me back a few hundred, so, I have plenty of time to research while I save up a few dollars lol.

You asked about the magazine release being reversible.
On the Gen4 guns, that is standard.
On the Gen3s... I believe there was only ONE gun that was ever implemented on, and that was a G21SF, a model slightly different from yours.
Anyway.... even with that one model, there were multiple problems with it. So much so, that I think Glock gives people a brand new G21 to exchange for their G21SFs with ambi mag release.
Don't hold me to this... I don't have a G21, have just followed threads over the years.
