I recently bought my first handgun, and gun in general. I went with the G17, and have put 500 rounds through it in little over a week. I love this gun. The only problem I am having is I seem to be shooting about 1.5 inches to the left of my target at about 7 yards, any tips the knowledgeable folks here on GT can provide?

I look forward to enjoying my purchase for many years to come, and absorbing knowledge from fellow shooters.

    Thanks for the link.

Yep, sounds like what is happening to me. I will have to print out a couple of those targets with the guidance information on them for my next trip to the range.

Being a lefty, I tend to shoot an inch or three to the right.

I found that adjusting my stance slightly (for me, moving my left foot back a couple of inches) put me back on target.

Welcome to GT and the wide world of guns. Have you shot guns before or are you totally new to the gun scene?

I have shot before, but not extensively. So I guess I am a noob to the gun scene.
