I just got a new Nvidia GEForce FX5200 from ebay. It's a real Nvidia GPU, but it's one of the non brand name type. Anyway, it seems to work fine and I can actually play games now, but every once in a while there's a minor screen flicker problem. Can I change settings? Try reseating the card??

    Any suggestions are appreciated!

Well first off are you running the latest Forceware Drivers off the nvidia site? Second is it only durring games? If so a certain game? These things are usually specific to a certain game or program...you are doing so more info is needed.. As for changing setting lets get more info.. Sure reseating the card never hurts is it PCI or an AGP card?

Which drivers did you use to install it?

You need to grab two things: Driver Cleaner and a different Forceware version.

Delete the drivers from Add & Remove Proggies, then reboot into Safe mode.

Run Driver Cleaner and let it take all tr5aces of the old driver out of the system.

Then reboot into Normal mode and reinstall using the driver you just got.

    That ought to fix it.

    Good luck!!

Are you using Windows XP? That had an issue with screen flicker and higher refresh rates help with it. At anything less than 85Hz, the flicker is very annoying.
